[Misc] CLC Power Ranking

It's been a busy month for me but here we are with a CLC ranking. They're trying to march into the top girl groups, and "Black Dress" was certainly a step in the right direction. With so many groups deciding against being sexy, these concepts will be a breath of fresh air. Hopefully this time around they don't immediately turn around and do something completely different...again...

#7. Yujin
For CLC the odd member out is Yujin. She's simply too awkward I feel. Yujin is naturally on the cute side of things but even during songs like "Pepe" and "No Oh Oh" she seemed...off. I wouldn't say "out of place" or anything to that extreme but appearance-wise she didn't match well. Her weak voice doesn't help matters either. Now to her credit, as CLC got more comfortable with the tougher concepts so did she, but ain't enough to keep her out of last.

#6. Seunghee
Seunghee is quiet and reserved, she doesn't draw a lot of attention to herself. Combined with how little I've really seen of this group on variety, and it's no surprise to see her on the bottom part of the rankings. Points for being one of the primary vocalists in the group despite being overshadowed by the non-Koreans. Seunghee has been great though, her styling in "Black Dress" was refreshing and I hope to see more of that in her future.

#5. Eunbin
Hayoung, meet Eunbin. The two members are very alike. Both are the maknaes of their groups, and both have more mature visuals than their age or maknae status would suggest. She's not extraordinary in terms of vocals, visuals, dancing, or rap. Sort of like a weaker Minzy or Jennie. There's not much else to say about her. She's quite close to the baseline of members in CLC.

#4. Sorn
Truth be told, Sorn probably deserves to be higher. Her ProduSorn series on Youtube is enough to warrant that. It's refreshingly honest and once their promotions end I hope to see some more content. Sorn is also arguably the best vocalist on the team, though admittedly her more traditional voice can be considered an advantage over the more airy voices of Elkie and Seunghee. Sorn is a pretty cool gal through and through.

#3. Yeeun
Yeeun is kinda weird, but I like that. To be blunt, Yeeun being an extremely capable rapper is the overwhelming reason why she's up so high. Shy and a tad awkward (at least remembering from her Running Man appearance years back), Yeeun can be vicious dropping raps and has inherited the good side of Hyuna's rapping style. As for other categories, she looks sharp, but others look sharper. She dances well, but others dance better. Much like Eunbin, she's well-rounded in everything except rap (where she is explosive, naturally).

#2. Elkie
Hong Kong represent! Elkie is Cantonese and Korea doesn't have enough Hong Kong blood in their veins. That's gonna sound hella weird isn't it. Oh well. Elkie's got dynamic language skills and is solid in the singing and dancing department. She's also consistently second on the team in appearance no matter what the comeback, so props to her and her stylists. Now that I've said that, for their next comeback they'll butcher her hair or something. Apologies, Elkie.

#1. Seungyeon
Obviously, the CLC member that just made her debut on my Bias Power Rankings would top this chart. Hard to compete when Seungyeon catches all the attention whenever they're on stage. Her dancing is electric and her charisma can be deadly (she stares deep into your soul sometimes). Seungyeon is also the main visual and that amplifies her charm when she's out there dancing. She may be too thin - like most Kpop girls - but it looks the best on her compared to the rest of the group. I can see the rest of the girls shifting around in the years to come, but Seungyeon's got the #1 spot on lock.
