[Misc] Top 10 Girl Group Members Of The Future

Not sure how I'll categorize this post. Anyway I'm going to highlight the next big stars in the Kpop world. This will talk about ten girl (group) members who I believe will hit jackpot over the early years of their career. Whether it's to the level of IU and Suzy, or to general acknowledgement as one of the best / talented group members, the girls on this list all can make a claim. I'm pretty much calling my shot with some of them. When they are super popular in a few years I can look back here and claim I was a prophet.

Yuju
We'll get some obvious members out of the way first. Yuju made quite the impression early with GFriend, and has continued to be the driving force in their music. As one reddit user put it best, "it's not a GFriend song until Yuju hits the sixth octave." Yuju is currently a top 10 girl group vocalist, and definitely the #1 of the current generation of idols. She might not end up being the most hyped on the list but she'll always have plenty of power behind her.

Soyeon
As far as new rappers go, Soyeon ranks pretty high up there. Of course her debut just missed the latest installment of Girl Group Rapper Power Rankings, but I'd estimate she would be in the top 12. Her skills are reminiscent of LE, and her charisma of CL. Those are two names that any rookie wouldn't mind being attached or compared to. Soyeon is the carry of her group (not gonna type their name out) and that will come with both the good and the bad.

Tzuyu
This is a lil' bit of a cheat, as Tzuyu is arguably on that pedestal level already. Her youthful beauty lends to her popularity and if she isn't on the same realm as Suzy, Hani, and Seolhyun then she's only a little behind. She's certainly got the looks to compete, and being in such a popular group like Twice only helps her. Other members might be more talented than her, but the one with breakout potential will always be Tzuyu.

Jennie
Another obvious selection, as Black Pink's multitalented rapper definitely deserves a spot here. Jennie is a capable singer, dancer, and rapper all rolled into one attractive individual. Usually most jack-of-all-trades are proficient in all their skills but Jennie is solid at all three. She really has taken the mantle from Minzy. Even if YG locks her and Black Pink up in the dungeon for years to come, her brief exposure will keep her relevant as a powerhouse idol.

Seungyeon
Similar to Jennie, Seungyeon has plenty of potential across the board. Her sharp appearance and stage presence are no joke, and her voice is charismatic both on and off the stage. Sure she's behind Elkie, Sorn, and Seunghee in vocals but she holds her own. She doesn't rap, but that's more of a plus in this instance. Seungyeon will be known as one of the premier girl group dancers alongside Seulgi and SinB. All of their names start with an "S," hmm...

Doyeon
If you asked me to pick one girl group whose visuals would skyrocket her to fame, I'd go with Weki Meki's Doyeon. Seriously, she is fierce and can easily switch between sexy and cute. I feel like at a basic level she has a healthy balance of both. She certainly fits the mold that gave Suzy, Seolhyun, and Tzuyu prominence. Don't see any reason why Doyeon won't go down the high path as well. As Weki Meki is the primary group of Fantagio, Doyeon and her friends will continue to be treated well.

Somi
Hey, I didn't say that the members picked were in groups yet. I have faith that Somi will eventually debut (either with JYP or elsewhere) and when she does, she'll formally take the Kpop girl group landscape by storm. She already got her first taste of that with Produce 101 and I.O.I, because nobody dominated the headlines like she did. That alone will catapult her to stardom if and when she debuts with a non-project group. Keep working hard Somi, you'll get your chance.

Yuna
We have another member who isn't part of a group yet. The long-shot pick: ex-The Ark's Yuna is an undeniable rapping talent. She's a flighty rapper with her own style of swag. She can dominate a track or stage, and it's a fucking crime she and The Ark never got more than one song. Yuna got a jolt of life with her appearance on The Unit but she needs and deserves more. Really hoping we'll get to see her in a group in the future. Please!

Mijoo
'Twas a difficult choice between Mijoo and Yein for being the Lovelyz representative. They are one of the best cute girl groups right now, and constantly battling with GFriend for that title. Mijoo is definitely more of a sleeper pick since Yein is the most popular (I think) but her strong appearance, role as main dancer, and variety ability should be reason enough to make her the best candidate for this type of post.
