[Misc] Bias Power Rankings V: Summer 2016

To cap off my most productive month since starting my blog in 2012, and given the plethora of girl group comebacks, and more on the way, it's time to revise the Bias List once more. I think I'm going to settle on updating the list every 3-4 months. It's a good enough time span for new music releases, variety show appearances, etc. to shuffle the roster around and the like. I tend not to write as much for these rankings because they're so subjective and not really a factor in anything ha.
Honorable Mentions: Suzy / Victoria / Chorong / Irene
A group of honorable mentions will be included in both Bias and Girl Group Power Rankings, so here are the members which make the inaugural 7th season list. Victoria is an OG crush that has yet to break the barrier into top 12, while Suzy is the opposite, having fallen from #6 back in 2014. Chorong and Irene are very new additions, the former quickly growing into a strong #2 within A-Pink and the latter a rising star alongside her group.
12. Erin / 11. Kyungri (-5) / 10. Eunji / 9. Sojin (+2)
Erin finds her way at #12 because of a respect push, while Kyungri plummets due to the 9MUSES stock drop. It's painful, but the harsh reality is that without stability, it's going to be tough for any 9M to remain consistent here, but Hyuna is gaining traction. Eunji will remain rooted at #10, balanced by her solo effort and group inactivity. The Sojin placement is entirely me banking on Girl's Day having a comeback in the near future because goddammit I need them to be relevant again!
8. Hwasa (-1) / 7. Hani (-2) / 6. Choa (+2) / 5. Hyejeong (+3)
As per usual, the middle of the pack is where the most turmoil occurs. Hani and Hwasa haven't really done anything to deserve a drop, but they have to make room for the AOA girls, so down a spot she goes. Hyejeong and Choa comprise AOA's deadly duo for me, and with the decent play of "Good Luck" they both climb upwards. Now that Hyejeong no longer has the strawberry blonde hair she rightfully returns to having one of the strongest visuals, only outclassed by Soyu and Bora.
4. Soyu / 3. Wheein / 2. Bora / 1. Taeyeon
To nobody's surprise, the top 4 remain unchanged. I really could leave this writeup at that, but I won't. Soyu and Bora made a huge rebound with "I Like That," but I don't forsee a future where Soyu overtakes Wheein. Even if Sistar really stepped up their game (and or if Mamamoo went MIA) Wheein has #3 on lock. Taeyeon naturally retains the top spot, adding more to her resume with another solo effort. Can I imagine a world where these slots change? Maybe, but that's a really far stretch.
