12. Chorong (-1) / 11. Mina (NEW) / 10. Sojin / 9. Seulgi (NEW)
At first, I didn't think Chorong would even be on this list but Apink is full of wonderful personalities and Chorong's is my second favorite within the group (with Eunji of course being the other). Mina makes her debut and is the first Twice representation, and also the first non-Korean member on the rankings. Double congrats for that! Sojin maintains her spot because Girl's Day continues to be (at least) relevant and we all know how groups struggle with doing that nowadays. Seulgi appears for the first time, and her charisma both on and off the stage is pleasantly charming.
8. SinB (NEW) / 7. Eunji / 6. Irene (+3) / 5. Jennie (+1)
SinB rounds out the trio of newcomers thanks to her addicting personality. She's easily one of the best GFriend members in variety and her prowess in singing and dancing is no joke either. Like Sojin, Eunji's veteran status keeps her comfortable at #7, and with the way groups are dying she'll probably climb higher in future installments. Last time most of the shuffling occurred in the lower ranks, but this time the action is concentrated in the higher spots. Irene and Jennie are my favorite of their respective groups, and both are rising talents on rising teams. Irene has taken over as the Victoria-esque idol while Jennie is the new generation's superstar.
4. Yuju (+4) / 3. Hyejeong (+2) / 2. Wheein (+1) / 1. Taeyeon
Yuju surges ahead thanks to the departures of Sistar members, while Hyejeong makes a small climb of her own. Wheein now moves into 2nd and likely will take over as top dog after this cycle. My kind of luck: of course after talking about the solidarity of Taeyeon / Bora / Soyu, the next time I write the list there none of them will be eligible. Sistar disbands and SNSD is on their way out. Though Taeyeon may be up for debate, she'll occupy the #1 spot for at least one more round.
