[Misc] Girl Group Visual Power Rankings IV: Battle Royale (Part I)

Here's the first part. Sorry this didn't get posted earlier. I actually had most of part I complete when the introductory post was published but have been busy with work and an online course. Anyways, Queen and Relic Brackets will go until there are two representatives each moving onto the final bracket. I'll post all contestants / matchups, then with the actual bracket. Instead of doing each matchup or round, I'm gonna show the entirety of the fights including the two "winners" of each set. Some filler text will go in each to highlight some of the marquee moments in my decision making (such a difficult task, I know), and we'll wrap it up rather quickly. Let's go.

 I wish I could've made the text bigger... At least you can click the image to get a zoomed version. Jisoo starts us off with a bang as she upsets the #1 seeded Yoona. Irene also passes Hara in another big upset. Elsewhere things went pretty unsurprisingly. Sowon and Junghwa's recent surges in visual prowess couldn't match the veteran status of Sohee and Yura. Yura would defeat legend visuals in Sohee AND Dara to be one of the people moving on. Back on the top half of the bracket, Hyejeong easily swept through her opponents, probably pissed at me that Seolhyun was AOA's representative in the last three iterations. The first two members of the final eight are set.

Another 16th seed wins over a 1st seed as Nari upsets Gain. In fact, this bracket is full of lower seeded visuals grabbing victories. Only three higher-seeded girls won their first round matchup. Round two was a bloodbath with some top-tier bodies like Nari, Hyosung, Minhee, and Jei. Ultimately, the favorites would move on with the notable victory being Rainbow's Jaekyung over 4minute's Jihyun. Both are really underrated in their visuals but Jaekyung's been way more consistent over the years. She and Hyosung would make it through and be our next pair in the final eight.
