In traditional fashion, this got delayed because of work and other life struggles but here we are. The final eight will duke it out until one visual stands alone on top of the competition. Here's the matchups and seeding which I based loosely on their original brackets. We'll go right through with "details" on each matchup and we'll conclude with sunshine and rainbows.
Quarterfinals
1. Hyejeong (AOA) vs. 8. Jerry (Tahiti)
This is easily the most mismatched pair in the quarterfinals. Hyejeong is a stunner that has been consistent for forever while Jerry is sort of the reluctant pick out of her group. It was a tall order to even get this far so props to Jerry for a good run nonetheless. Hyejeong obliterates Jerry here and as the #1 seed is the favorite to go all the way.

2. Hyosung (Secret) vs. 7. Jaekyung (Rainbow)
Well look at that. The two nominees from the Relic Bracket are immediately up against each other. Both are from opposite ends of the group spectrum. Hyosung is the popular vote as her status as a bagel girl has been discussed for years. Meanwhile, Jaekyung is underrated from within her own group with members like Hyunyoung. In a move that will surprise many - myself included - Jaekyung will move on.
* Winner: Jaekyung
3. Yura (Girl's Day) vs. 6. Yeonwoo (Momoland)
Oh man these matchups get tougher and tougher. Yeonwoo is a rising star while Yura is a visual stalwart. Yura has been gorgeous whenever she doesn't have short hair (and that's been for a long time now). On the other hand, Yeonwoo makes half of Momoland's visual punch along with Nancy and is making waves. While she won't walk away with a win here, Yeonwoo will be a fixture in many visual battles to come.
* Winner: Yura
4. Doyeon (Weki Meki) vs. 5. Nahyun (Sonamoo)
For the toughest decision of all in quarterfinals, we have Weki Meki's visual ace versus Sonamoo's starlet. Both groups are pretty meh but their visuals are no joke. Doyeon boasts an amazing blend of cute and sexy while Nahyun is straight up gorgeous. Versatility is a valued trait plus she has a million dollar smile in my opinion. Doyeon's height also can't be understated and that gives her the edge in a fierce fight against Nahyun.
* Winner: Doyeon
Semifinals
1. Hyejeong (AOA) vs. 7. Jaekyung (Rainbow)
This matchup made me realize just how hot a Rainbow x AOA special stage would've been. But alas instead we have the mighty Hyejeong against the underdog Jaekyung. Both are tall and leggy, with super healthy bodies to boot. Despite her upset victory over Hyosung, Jaekyung is unable to make magic happen and Hyejeong cruises into the finals.
* Winner: Hyejeong
3. Yura (Girl's Day) vs. 4. Doyeon (Weki Meki)
Much like Yura's last bout vs. Yeonwoo, she has to tackle another up-and-comer in Doyeon. Surprisingly, both are around the same height (I thought Yura was shorter, but turns out all of Girl's Day are relatively tall) and both mix sexy and cute extremely well. Yura's facial features give her the advantage despite Doyeon's killer smile and Yura's body is no joke. In the end, I have to go with the obvious favorite, but Doyeon put up one hell of a contest.
* Winner: Yura
Finals
1. Hyejeong (AOA) vs. Yura (Girl's Day)
In Grand Finals we have a predictable matchup, but an exciting one all the same. Both come from similar backgrounds, each with their own unique quirks. AOA and Girl's Day have each dialed up the fanservice during their legendary runs in 2013-2014 and were the best of their visual class. In one corner, Hyejeong had to stand under Seolhyun's shadow (even in my own Power Rankings) for many years even though she's got better everything compared to Seolhyun. In the other corner, Yura's attractiveness has always been on the front pages and ignoring her dark ages with Girl's Day has been consistent. My heart says Yura but my head says Hyejeong - I could've damn well flipped a coin. But enough rambling: the winner is AOA's Hyejeong. She takes over for Seolhyun and continues AOA's streak as the group with the top visual.

There will be a follow-up post on Visual Rankings IV (because I haven't milked this silly topic enough right) which will finalize some rankings with maybe a final image spread. After that we'll return to the usual content that actually is interesting, I hope.
